What we collect

When you submit a form on this website, we collect the information you enter: your name, work email address, organisation, job role, and the category you select to describe yourself. Where a form includes consent options, we also record which options you selected and the version of the consent wording you were shown.

Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used to operate and secure the site.

We do not collect special category data. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To respond to your enquiry and provide requested material. If you complete a form to contact us or download a document, we use your details to send you that material and to follow up. Lawful basis: legitimate interests — responding to a request you have made.

Business development. We may contact you about LiveLayer where you have given us your work contact details in a business capacity and the contact is relevant to your role. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You can object at any time and we will stop.

Marketing emails. Where you have ticked the box to receive updates, we send occasional emails about LiveLayer. Lawful basis: consent. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything that happened before.

Sharing your details with Kuori. Where you have ticked the box to share your details with our hardware partner, we pass your name, email, organisation and job role to Kuori. Lawful basis: consent. If you do not tick that box, we do not share your details with them.

Operating and securing the site. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Sharing your information with Kuori

Kuori is our display hardware partner, based in Finland. Where you consent, we share your submitted details with Kuori so they can contact you about their hardware.

Kuori acts as a separate, independent data controller for any information we share with them. They decide how they use it and are responsible for it under their own privacy policy. Their processing is not covered by this policy — see kuori.tech for their terms.

Withdrawing this consent stops any future sharing. It cannot recall information already shared, but you can contact Kuori directly to exercise your rights over data they hold.

Who else processes your information

We use the following providers, who process personal information on our instructions:

• Supabase — database and hosting for form submissions
• Resend — sending transactional and marketing email
• Lovable — website hosting and delivery

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

International transfers

Some of our providers process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations for transfers to the EEA, or on the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers elsewhere.

Our sharing with Kuori is a transfer to Finland, which is covered by UK adequacy regulations for the EEA.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions for 24 months from your last interaction with us, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Where you have consented to marketing, we keep your record until you unsubscribe, and then retain a minimal suppression record so that we do not email you again.

Where we have a legal, accounting or tax obligation to keep records for longer, we do.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; have inaccurate information corrected; have your information erased in certain circumstances; restrict how we use it; object to processing based on legitimate interests; receive your information in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where consent is our lawful basis.

To exercise any of these, email hello@livelayer.agency. We will respond within one month. We will not charge you or treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies strictly necessary for it to function. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles from your visit.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@livelayer.agency so we can put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection. Details at ico.org.uk, or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where changes are significant, we will contact you if we hold your contact details and it is appropriate to do so.
